The Little Rock Police Department on Saturday reported a homicide near the intersection of Roosevelt and Asher.

Officers arrived at the scene around 5 p.m. and found 29-year-old Marvell Harris suffering from a gunshot wound. Harris later died at a hospital. A suspect has not been named at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

The LRPD has reported 17 homicides in 2023. One additional death from an officer-involved shooting is not included in the count. At the end of April 2022, the LRPD reported 29 homicides.
