GRADUATION NIGHT: North Little Rock police identified the victim in an overnight homicide as Benjamin Redix who was set to graduate from White Hall High School tonight.

North Little Rock police are investigating a homicide that occurred at a motel in the Prothro Junction area early Saturday morning. They have not identified the victim or a suspect in the crime. 

At about 1:05 a.m. Saturday, police responded to 5801 Pritchard Road, the address of the Rest Inn, where they found an adult male victim lying near a breezeway and suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died, according to a news release from the department. 

Detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide, the police said.

The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Jeremiah Broadus, a Black male from Maumelle, according to a news release from the North Little Rock police this afternoon.
