
Minority Enterprise Development Week award winners.
Venerable Wright Avenue grocery store K. Hall & Sons Produce was honored with a Little Rock Chamber of Commerce 2023 Minority Enterprise Development Week Legacy Award at a Friday luncheon at the Statehouse Convention Center.
Founded by the late Knoxie Hall, K. Hall has been operated by three generations of the Hall family in Little Rock’s Paul Laurence Dunbar School Neighborhood Historic District for 50 years. In addition to produce and groceries, K. Hall is known for its soul food, its weekly Saturday seafood boils, and some of the best cheeseburgers in Little Rock.
Presented by Apptegy, the 41st annual MED awards “celebrate the achievements of 12 outstanding minority business and community leaders.”
Kendra Pruitt, the chief of staff for Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr., was named Minority Advocate of 2023. Mason Doyne with MD Doyne Construction won Outstanding Young Professional of 2023. River Mountain Eye Care took the Emerging Minority Business of 2023 award and Nelson Intelligence Solutions was awarded Minority Business of 2023.
