The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine boosters are here! It’s like Christmas in September, except that Santa is wearing a labcoat and his sack is full of needle jabs that keep you from getting sick.
Because viruses change, vaccines need to change along with them, and Kavanaugh Pharmacy co-owner Anne Pace told us in August that the version being administered by pharmacies this fall is a reformulated booster designed to be effective against the current iteration of the virus. Appointments are open at Kavanaugh Pharmacy and at Kroger grocery stores around town. While you’re at it, many pharmacies are offering the flu vaccine, same-day.

COVID-19 cases have been on the rise this fall, prompting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to relaunch the mail-out program for receiving COVID-19 tests at the covidtests.gov website.
Alternatively, you can ignore the data and just “move on” from COVID, as our governor recommended in this tweet. Totally up to you.
It’s time to move on from COVID.
And in Arkansas, we’ve been clear — no COVID mandates, no COVID shutdowns. pic.twitter.com/KoubVPTHk4
