What a difference a year can make, especially when it comes to learning from our mistakes and political fallout.
I’ve written plenty of articles, very few complimentary, about the Conway School District in the past year. But here’s something good for a change.
You may recall the panic that ensued about this time last year when a few coaches dared to wear T-shirts celebrating Black History Month while they were at school basketball games. A short-lived, ill-begotten directive forbidding the coaches from wearing the shirts at games justifiably caused an uproar and led to apologies.
A year later and the election of two progressive board members later, here comes this post on the Conway School District’s Facebook page today, the first day of Black History Month.
