Saturday’s game
Arkansas (2-6, 0-5 in SEC) at Ole Miss (3-5, 1-4 in SEC)
Site: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, Miss.
Time: 1 p.m.
Radio/TV: The ARSN network will broadcast the game on radio affiliates. The game will not be televised.

What James says: Ole Miss has to have the ugliest offense in America. But their defense is very competitive and plays very hard for four quarters. Their kicking game is bad, especially in the field goal department. They were off last week and have gone through a week of intense blood-letting scrimmaging. This will either cause them to leave all of their emotion on the practice field or they will be more than ready to play against Arkansas.

What about the Hogs at this point?: I thought Casey Dick played well enough for us to have won the football game against South Carolina. I wonder why it has taken it so long for him to have an opportunity. Also, we should all be proud of the defense. It’s taken a lot of ridicule and has come a long way and is playing together week to week. It’s probably the most positive thing about the football team.

Why hasn’t Arkansas been able to break through?: It’s a combination of playcalling and execution.

The pick: 14-13, Ole Miss. Arkansas has better football players than Ole Miss, but we proved against South Carolina we can have better players and still lose. Ole Miss still has an opportunity to go to a bowl game and has something to play for.
