Tap dancers and filet mignon will recapture the supper club era of yore at The SpeakEasy, which opened last week at 412 Louisiana St., former home to The Factory and neighbor to the Sports Bar restaurant. Ryan Landry, chef and part owner, will be serving up an American-Continental-Cajun menu that will include such entrees as oyster scampi, pot roast, penne pasta along with Greek salads and cheese sandwiches. Special touches: the piano embedded in the bar, the design of general manager Michael Henderson, and a baby grand on a stage. The bar piano will get its workout during happy hour and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Thursday night will be jazz night, and there will be floor shows on Friday and Saturday nights. Weekday lunches and brunch on Sunday round up the ambitious new venture by Landry and partners Meredith Gilbert and Tim Troup.
