The House has secured former Boulevard Bread Co. owner Scott McGehee as its executive chef. McGehee will train kitchen staff and implement new recipes; the restaurant will unveil the new menu at the first of the year, House co-owner Nick Coffin said. In addition to burgers, there’ll be a lot of new, mid-range priced pub-style food, ranging from fish and chips to Thai curry bowls. The restaurant will remain open during the transition.
Coffin said he hopes to return to offering lunch next year and possibly adding brunch. He also said he’s still looking to expand his wine and beer menu, possibly adding eight more taps.
This news comes just weeks after House chef Nathan Miller left to go to Chenal Country Club and McGehee sold his stake of Boulevard to his ex-wife, Christina McGehee.
Meanwhile, Christina McGehee last week sent a note to the Boulevard’s mailing list promising she’ll make no changes, except improvements, at the bakery/deli. She also announced Davis Clement, who most recently ran the kitchen at White Water Tavern, as the new chef at Boulevard.
