CWS Jello Shot Challenge

Well, that didn’t take long. On Saturday Razorback baseball fans attending the College World Series in Omaha pounded nearly 1,000 Jello shots in 3 hours during the Hogs 17-2 route of #2 Stanford.

According to the CWS Jello Shot Challenge Twitter page, Arkansas fans had ordered 488 Jello shots before the game started Saturday. After the game, the Hogs were up to 1,441 shots purchased.

The record of 2,965 Jello shots purchased was set by Mississippi State fans a year ago. Throwing back copious amounts of gelatinous liquor shots just means more to Razorback fans who have taken the record tonight after playing just one (most excellent) baseball game.

Last night at 9:49 p.m., some 30 hours since the Razorbacks win over Stanford,  Hog fans had purchased nearly 2,000 more shots and broken the all time record. CWS Jello Shot Challenge announced that the record had been set with a video of Razorback fans calling the Hogs.

Cheers. Way to go Hog fans. Here’s to hoping everyone is tasting responsibly, staying well hydrated and not losing their credit cards. Someone get them some Pedialyte or tell the university to send Coca-Cola.
