I just received an SMS Square text message from Nexus Coffee & Creative with news that Nexus’ line of roasted coffee beans are now being sold in Walmart stores in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Bryant, Sherwood and Jacksonville.
Nexus has partnered with Coffee Collective Co., a new company headquartered Bentonville aiming to help local roasters get their beans into large retail stores. A recent Facebook post from Coffee Collective Co. celebrated the launch of local coffee at Walmart stores in 36 metro areas. Arkansas coffee companies represented are Heroes Coffee (Bentonville), Old Pine Coffee Roasters (Fayetteville), Confident Coffee Roasters (Fayetteville), Blue Sail Coffee (Conway), Montay Coffee (Northwest Arkansas, founded by Walton MBA students), Joyhouse Coffee Co. (Cave Springs) and Big Cuppa (Morrilton). Here’s the full Facebook post:
This week Coffee Collective Co. launch Local Coffee at Walmart. A massive thank you to Walmart & John Thames for leaning in and supporting Local Coffee Roasters in 36 metro areas across the US including Arkansas with Heroes, Old Pine Coffee Roasters, LLC, Confident Coffee Roasters Inc., Blue Sail Coffee, Montay, Joyhouse Coffee Company, Nexus and Big Cuppa.–This program brings support for Local businesses within Local communities across the US within the largest retailer, supporting thousands of American jobs, and thousands more outside the US in coffee regions around the world. At a time when Local support is paramount and a growing concern in peoples mind, it is great to see Walmart leaning and using its scale to support the Local communities, our friends and families. Here’s to supporting Local and cheers to roasters! Thank you for all those who have supported the launch of this program.
