BCW, an acronym for bread, cheese and wine, is a new restaurant concept from chef Nathan Miller slated to open this summer at 1424 S. Main St. in Little Rock’s SoMa neighborhood. It will be located next door to Press Waffle Co. on the west side of Main Street in the same spot where Little Rock’s first Original Hot Dog Factory franchise location was scheduled to open but never materialized.
Miller, who’s career as a chef includes three years at West Little Rock’s YaYa’s Euro Bistro and four years in Nashville, said the menu at BCW will feature shareable items, elevated grilled cheese sandwiches and a strong cocktail program. Wine will be available on tap and in bottles, he said.
The 2,000 square foot space includes a patio and mezzanine and will seat about 85, Miller said. BCW will be open for lunch and dinner and Miller plans for the restaurant to be open until midnight.
Miller said the realistic target date is late August/early September, and his team is recruiting some well known SoMa names to run the kitchen and bar. BCW’s cocktail and wine program will be of equal importance to the food program, Miller said, and the restaurant’s concept was designed for the neighborhood.
“We didn’t want to shoehorn in a concept that was for us,” Miller said. “We very much designed the concept and the space and everything about it for SoMa.”
