Aug. 3 would have been Little Rock-born jazz musician Art Porter Jr.’s 50th birthday. The saxophonist died in a boating accident in Thailand in 1996.

Pretty Lights, the DJ name of Fort Collins, Colorado’s Derek Vincent Smith, is coming to Verizon Arena on Oct. 29. Tickets to the general admission show (a rarity at Verizon) range from $30 to $33 and go on sale on July 15 via Ticketmaster.
