Six Strings Down, a local band that blends blues, rock and funk, performs at Cajun’s Wharf, 9 p.m., $5. Downtown Music celebrates its six-year anniversary with a night of metal featuring Weedeater, Black Tusk and Shitfire, 8 p.m., $6. On the Rocks hosts a crawfish boil. DJ Sleepy Genius provides the soundtrack, 9 p.m., $5.

Counterpoint, in North Little Rock, hosts pop-punks the Weisenheimers, hugely awesome post-punks Kyoto Boom and Flaming Death Fairies, 11 p.m., $5. Arkansas’s honky-tonk heroes the Salty Dogs play their first show with new bassist Brent LaBeau (Mulehead) at White Water Tavern, 9 p.m., $5. At Counterpoint, blues-rock favorites Charlotte Taylor and Gypsy Rain perform at 11 p.m., $5. Late night, popular jam-band Freeverse plays Midtown, 12:30 a.m., $5. Fayetteville’s Benjamin Del Shreve performs no-frills rock ‘n’ roll at Sticky Fingerz, 9:30 p.m., $5. The always good-time duo Luke & Paul play their regular gig at Reno’s, 10 p.m., $5. Cover favorites Mr. Meaner perform at West End, 9 p.m., $5. DJ Sleepy Genius keeps things moving at On the Rocks, 9 p.m., $5. Earlier, Lorenzen and Co. Booksellers hosts a book-signing for popular local author Trenton Lee Stewart, 3 p.m. It’ll likely be the bookstore’s last event. A going-out-of-business sale concludes at the end of the month.
