Formerly Molten Lava, Fayetteville’s Boom Kinetic plays synth-pop at Revolution, which always pulls in a crowd on football weekends, 9 p.m., $8 (18 and up). Chicago DJ Paul Anthony headlines a big dance party at the Village, with supporting help from Sleepy Genius, Jiminy Kick-It, Justin Sane, Guido and Stepchild with the Ponies (doing a dub set), 9 p.m., $10 adv., $15 d.o.s. Fayetteville’s Boom Kinetic plays a CARTI Benefit outside at Big Whiskey’s, 5 p.m., $5 (before 9 p.m.) or $10 (after). At “I Love the Tru Skool” at Crush, DJ Swift spins jams that are too fresh too be called old school, like “ATliens”-era Outkast and Craig Mack’s “Flava in Ya Ear,” 9 p.m., $5. It’s a showcase of local rock at Juanita’s with Iron Tron, A Darkened Era and Land Of Mines, 9:30 p.m., $5. The Lucious Spiller band holds it down at Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m., $5.
