Clear Cannabis Inc., a national cannabis brand known for The Clear, is expanding into Arkansas through a relationship with Little Rock medical marijuana processor Dark Horse Medicinals.
The company plans a “soft launch” tomorrow, on 4/20, making its flagship brand The Clear Elite available in select Arkansas dispensaries. The company plans a full rollout across the state in May.
Dark Horse will also produce Clear Cannabis Inc. products in Missouri where it recently expanded. Between the Arkansas and Missouri markets, Dark Horse will be Clear Cannabis’ top licensee in the country, Dark Horse CEO Casey Flippo said Wednesday.
Dark Horse also makes Smokiez Edibles, a national brand of cannabis edibles, and plans to produce other national brands, Flippo said.
“We at Dark Horse are happy to welcome The Clear to the Arkansas market. The Clear is a perennial national brand in the cannabis space and with their emphasis on quality, consistency, and transparency we are eager to see their success in Arkansas,” Flippo said in a press release.
In Arkansas, Dark Horse will initially produce a half-gram and one gram vape cartridges and .35 gram disposable vape pens for Clear Cannabis. Vape flavors include Blue Raz, Golden Goat, Grapevine, Lime Sorbet, OG and Orange Cream, according to a press release.
In coming months, Dark Horse will also make Clear Cannabis Inc.’s Dripcees gummies and The Clear Elite two-gram vape cartridges.
In Missouri, where Dark Horse recently expanded operations, Dark Horse will make those products as well as The Clear’s Twax infused pre-rolls.
Pre-rolls are not allowed in Arkansas, according to state law and the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division.
“We are thrilled to announce our latest license partnership with Dark Horse Medicinals, an esteemed leader in the local cannabis marketplace,” said Clear Cannabis Inc. CEO Richard Batenburg Jr. “The Clear and Dark Horse share a commitment to quality and innovation, making this partnership an excellent fit. We are excited to expand The Clear’s customer base in the South and look forward to growing our presence in this market.”
