Little Rock – May 24 – Ed Choate, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Arkansas, announced today that Tim Carney, formerly of Great West Healthcare in Denver, CO, has been hired as the new vice president of marketing and Chris Pyle, former speechwriter and policy advisor to Gov. Mike Huckabee, has been hired as the new director of communications and community relations.

“Delta Dental has experienced exceptional growth over the past year,” said Choate, “and the experience these men bring to our company will ensure that this growth continues and that we’re able to meet the oral health needs of more Arkansans.”

Prior to joining Delta Dental of Arkansas, Carney was the director of sales and marketing for ancillary products at Great West Healthcare in Denver, CO, where he was responsible for the development, sales and marketing of product lines including dental, vision, disability and voluntary life insurance. Under his direction, this division saw revenues exceeding $350 million. Prior to working for Great West, Carney was the east coast regional vice president for Protective Life specializing in voluntary dental benefits.
