“Swamp” by Mandy Gann of North Little Rock, shows an amazing image of the oxbow that runs behind Cotham’s Merchantile in Scott.  Note the detail of the mimosa blooms and their reflection in the center of the photo.


For “Reaching For the Clouds,” Flickr user “Jim-AR” got down low and shot these amazing yellow daisies from his own back yard in Monticello.

The intriguing effect in this photo from the Southeast Arkansas Delta, “Infrared Cotton,” by flickrite “episodik,” comes from, as you might guess, shooting in infrared.

Yours truly was lucky enough to catch this glimpse of a water-sprite peeking out from under the handrail of the swimming pool after a 4th of July cookout in Jacksonville.
