It’s been so busy around the office today, I forgot why I’m here. Oh yeah, there are a few things going in in the clubs tonight, so get out and have a time of it:

The biggest show for live music tonight is undoubtedly the Arizona Desert pop guys of the Format. They don’t follow any cookie cutter format, as their name may suggest. Just two guys some guitars, a looping machine, and fun, jingy jangy music. They have a following, perhaps some folk will show up. Juanita’s tonight $10. Other bands appearing are June Ticket Tape Parade and Athallo. It starts at 8 p.m. tonight kiddies, so suit up.

If you’re on the D.L.:

Oh yes, it’s true Scott Diffee (tatted up Go Fast rock n’ roll prankster) has been adding to his solo chops by hosting a singer-songwriter night at Afterthought. It’s free. He starts at 8 p.m. The bartenders tell me that a lot of his cronies show up to do their stuff.

Also…that rockabilly guy, Hall of Fame pianist Ed Burks, is at Easy Street. Catch him. He’s a gem on the ivories. No cover. Tips accepted (of course).

and…guitarist/songwriter Brian Nahlen is at Cajun’s tonight. 8 p.m. $5.
