We saw a great one at Heber Springs on Monday night. It ran about 20 minutes, from Sandy Beach, while we watched from the marina at Eden Isle. While the low-horizon fireworks were blocked by the hill between the marina, Greers Ferry Lake and Sandy Beach, most of the works were high exploders, very colorful, very large, and impressive in the way they reflected off the lake. Several sponsors chip in to sponsor the show, which at one time was solely sponsored by Heber Springs potpourri company Aromatique (now Aromatique is one of the co-sponsors).

CBS ran the stunning fireworks display over Boston with the Boston Pops, Aerosmith’s Steve Tyler and Joe Perry, and recorded music ranging from the “Patton” theme song to Sheryl Crow’s “Soak Up the Sun” to Neil Diamond’s “Coming to America.” Pretty decent TV if you didn’t want to get off the couch last night and see the Little Rock riverfront display from some viewing spot like Knoop Park.
