The Al Green concert scheduled for Saturday at the Riverfest Amphitheatre has been moved to Oct. 27. The River Market and the Little Rock Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, the sponsors of the show, which was to celebrate the conclusion of the 10th Year Anniversary of the market, cited the expected high temperatures as the reason for moving the show.

We couldn’t agree more about not having a show in this ridiculous heat. Al’s also 58. But we did talk to the man Friday and we know he was looking forward to it, as well as celebrating President Clinton’s 60th birthday on Saturday.

Tickets for the concert are being handled through Ticketmaster, so any refunds will need to be handled through that agency at 975-7575. If the tickets have been charged, Ticketmaster will simply credit the charge back to the buyer, minus their handling fee, of course. We suggest holding on to the tickets and partying on Oct. 27.
