TV guru and resident craftsman David Koon offers this television alert:

Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on AETN (Comcast Ch. 3, Broadcast Ch. 2) be sure to catch “Craft in America,” the three-hour documentary on American craftspeople and their art.  The documentary serves as a companion to the “Craft in America” show now on display at the Arkansas Arts Center, and features visits with some of those who have elevated utilitarian objects to the level of art. Featured are in-depth segments on over twenty craftspeople, including furniture makers Sam Maloof and George Nakashima,  Mississippi art quilter Hystercine Rankin, and California potter David Gurney. Visit PBS’ “Craft in America” website for more information about the exhibit and the documentary.
