All of a sudden: The Village has added three big shows to its calendar this week —  rapper DMX (July 9), soul dude Bobby Valentino (August 4) and hard rockers Queens of the Stone Age (August 8).

I’ve always kind of been pretty eh about DMX, but he did have four straight albums debut at number one, so lots of other folks probably care. DMX fun-fact: has a child with a woman he claims raped him. Lesson gleaned, according to the rapper? “Turn on the light before I go to sleep.”

The new Queens album, “Era Vulgaris,” is out Tuesday. You can preview it here and watch the video for the lead single, “Sick, Sick, Sick” here. It’s food porn.

Also. I’m shocked he’s still living, but sledgehammer-wielding (un)funny man Gallagher is coming August 3.
