Hopefully, you read the Arkansas Times calendar, and you drank several fewer green beers last night than you would’ve had you not known that J. Roddy Walston and the Business were returning to White Water tonight. On the strength of a half dozen or so shows in the last year in Little Rock, the B-more rawk rockers have become local favorites. Their shows, particularly the ones at White Water, where they’re playing tonight, are always packed and always manic (in a good way).  Local pop-rockers Big Boots open with the eight-piece folk-punk orchestra the Pasties. They’re from Olympia and feature an accordion and trumpet, 9 p.m., $5.

At Juanita’s, former American Idol contestant Sean Michel, of Little Rock, brings his prodigious beard and Christian-themed indie-pop to Juanita’s with Orlando indie-act Band Marino and local folk dude Paul Sammons, 8 p.m., $8.

Michael Prysock plays the blues at the Afterthought, 8 p.m., free.
