In the off white get-up. Also, not Kanye.

Fonzworth Bentley, famous mostly as Puff Daddy’s former assistant and for hosting the reality contest show “G’s to Gents,” speaks tonight (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. at M.L. Harris Auditorium at Philander Smith as part of the “Bless the Mic” lecture series.

“G’s,” which aired on MTV this summer, pitted 14 “gangsters” vying against each other to become a gentleman in Bentley’s eye. The winner received $100,000. Please, please read the wikipedia episode guide. (Episode 1 “Eliminated: Pretty Ricky for being intoxicated, was shown urinating on the house wall, wore a white jacket over his Navy Blazer at the Chapter Meeting, and ultimately did nothing to show he wanted to change.”)

Bentley’s also a rapper/singer with an album coming out in the unknown future and the author of “Advance Your Swagger: How to Use Manners, Confidence and Style to Get Ahead.” His MTV bio claims that he “dreams of a day when “please” and “thank you” are part of the world’s vernacular again.”
