Everyone’s favorite local pop-rockers the Boondogs have a release party coming up next Friday at Juanita’s. The great Jim Dickinson, who produced the ‘dogs abandoned Garageband effort, will open the show (and likely be backed by at least two thirds of the band). New Belgium’s sponsoring the party, which means there will be serious specials on Fat Tire. Entry’s $10 and includes a copy of “Take Shelter” on CD.

To get you all ripe and ready, Max Recordings is offering the album as a free download at maxrecordings.com until Friday. It’s a strong work. Sunnier than past releases. Get it.
