Dude, the colors are alive.

Wakarusa, the five-year-old music and camping festival, will relocate from Lawrence, Kan. to Mulberry Mountain, near Ozark, in Northwest Arkansas, in 2009. It’ll be held from June 4-7.

Last year’s bill, which included Built to Spill, Emmylou Harris, the Flaming Lips and scores of other more hippy-ish acts, drew crowds somewhere around 10,000, down considerably from 2004, when 30,000 folks came out.

So: A lot of people in the Ozarks next year.

Tickets, $99.25 for a four-day pass, are already on sale.

The line-up is scheduled to be announced in January.
