Pending approval by the ABC, look out for a new 10,000 square-foot sports bar coming soon to Southwest Little Rock. An offshot of a Texarkana Shooter’s Sports Bar, Shooter’s Live in Little Rock will offer a full-service kitchen and typical sports bar amenities — darts, pool tables, massive TVs — as well as a stage big enough to handle regional and national touring acts, according to owner Ronald Steitler.

It could be open as soon as June. The address is 9500 I-30, which, as it happens, is almost directly across the interstate from the Electric Cowboy.

Steitler says West End is more comparable. Shooters will close at 2 a.m., and while it will host a lot of music, mostly country and rock, the club also plans to put on boxing events every other week.

Perhaps most appealingly, particularly with relation to its location, it will offer free shuttle service to patrons from the club to anywhere in Little Rock.

Steitler estimates he’ll employ over 40 people.

He also says he’s considering expanding elsewhere in the state, possibly Fayetteville.

His hearing with the ABC is scheduled for March 18.
