Just a few weeks after he comes to Walton Arts on June 18, Levon Helm will release “Electric Dirt,” his follow-up to 2007’s Grammy winning “Dirt Farmer.” Unlike “Dirt Farmer,” which was a mix of traditional and contemporary covers, “Electric Dirt,” out on June 30, will mix covers, of songs like the Grateful Dead’s “Tennessee Jed” and Randy Newman’s “Kingfish,” with originals. Once again, Larry Campbell serves as producer.
