Atlanta’s Gringo Star, which used to be called A Fir-Ju Well, has played Little Rock, semi-regularly, for years. Their infectious garage-pop headlines a bill at Sticky Fingerz that also includes local rockers Big Boots and James Lepine and the Chasers, 9 p.m., $8 adv., $10 d.o.s.

Ben Nichols sticks around after the Fourth of July holiday for a gig at White Water, which he shares with local folk singer Chris Denny and his band. Expect a good portion of numbers from his solo debut “The Last Pale Light in the West,” inspired by Cormac McCarthy’s “Blood Meridian,” as well as some selections from Lucero’s seven-album catalogue. With a new Lucero album expected to drop later this year, loyal hopefuls might be treated to an advance listen. Denny’s warble and vivid, timeless songwriting should get the good vibes going, too, 10 p.m., $5.

At Studio Joe, Damn Bullets continue spreading the gospel of “Electric Folk Boogie,” the apt title of their most recent album, 8 p.m., $5.
