Spradlin.
Local guitar whiz Greg Spradlin leads his bluesy rock ‘n’ roll band at White Water, 9 p.m., $5.
At the Afterthought, there’s a benefit for local musician Jim Jolly who’s having some health problems. Lots of local folks will be playing, 7 p.m., $10
At the House, local writer Michael Inscoe celebrates the release of his first chapbook “i am trying to please you because i care about you,” which I’m pretty sure is filled exclusively with poems about girls he’s slept with. Several of them appeared in the revived Localist. I liked them. He promises, according to a Facebook invite, to read in a “mostly embarrassed sincere sarcastic tone.” Also, Phillip Huddleston will read, in a “mostly sincere tone” from his forthcoming novella and Jackson Meazle will read poems in a “sometimes sarcastic, mostly sincere tone,” 7 p.m., free.
Austin singer/songwriter Danny Santos is at Studio Joe, 7 p.m., $10.
And as usual, DJ Shawn Lee spins at Deep, 9 p.m., $5 (ladies free).
