There’s more fried food on the Eat Arkansas blog!

I know there are some folks who read this blog who bemoan the seeming lack of local and organic foods featured here… on the other hand, there are some who believe Eat Arkansas should have an emphasis on real Arkansas foods.  Therefore, feast your eyes on something truly of an Arkansas basis — the sampler plate from the AQ Chicken House in Springdale.  What you see there above is a feast laid out for a hearty eater:  one Original AQ Pan Fried Chicken leg, one Chicken Over The Coals breast, and one Sweet N’ Smokey BBQ Chicken wing, a side of sweet potato casserole and another side of Batter French Fries.

AQ Chicken House has been around since 1947, and its longevity has apparently not hurt its popularity or the quality of its products.  And considering the number of readers who have implored me to head my butt up Highway 71 to try the restaurant out… well, there you go.  More over at Tie Dye Travels, if you’re interested.
