Spa City’s premier purveyor of blues-folk, Brian Martin, performs at Satellite, 9 p.m., free.

The musical “Jekyll and Hyde” continues at the Weekend Theater, too, 7:30 p.m., $14-$18.

Local promoter Mike Brown is coming out of retirement on Saturday to DJ “Decades of DecaDANCE,” a benefit for the non-profit HPWA (Helping People With AIDS) at Revolution. Brown, who DJs as Big Brown, and DJ Chuck Nasty will be spinning vinyl from the ’80s and ’90s. All proceeds go to HPWA, 8 p.m., $5.

It’s a night of pop-rock at Pizza D, with local standout Isaac Alexander opening for Whale Fire, who’s conscripting video collagist Cameron Holifield to augment its hook-heavy three-part harmonies, the local smokey dive might for once seem, well, sunny. That’s Saturday night, 9:30 p.m., $3.

Local blues-rock standout Shannon Boshears performs at Prost, the new sausage bar (really, it’s a bar where the menu is made up, almost exclusively, of sausage) in the River Market, 8:30 p.m., $5.

At Discovery, Michael Shane handles the disco, while g-force mans the lobby, midnight, $10.

Earlier, “Captain America” artist Mitch Breitweiser will be signing at a Comic Book Show in the basement of Professor Bowl off Reservoir, 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., $3.
