UCA writing teacher Robin Becker is celebrating the release of her first book, ‘Brians: A Zombie Memoir’, and to go along with our review we asked her a few questions about what it’s like to be a zombie novelist.

1. Why zombies? What’s your particular attraction to the genre? First off, I love gore. I like horror movies and horror novels: I’m attracted to things that go bump in the night. As for zombies in particular, I admire their tenacity. They are so focused, so goal-oriented. Humans could learn something from their drive. We’d get more stuff done–feed the world, plug the oil leak, end war. Plus, I like glistening entrails!
