  • BREAKFAST PIE: The most important meal of the day.

This morning, the crew over at Vino’s opened up early for a World Cup watch party sponsored by the Arkansas Times. A good time was had by all as the coffee flowed like wine and the breakfast pizza was, well, out of this world. As many of you know, Vino’s has some of the best pizza around, but we’ve never had it for breakfast – unless it was left over from the night before. Today’s toppings included, from what we could tell, a thin layer of scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, red onions, green peppers, mushrooms and cheese. The U.S. went down 2-0 and things looked pretty bleak, but the crowd of 35 or so stayed to cheer on the Yanks as they made their comeback. I say we make this a regular occasion. If it’s not the World Cup, then let’s find some other reason to eat at Vino’s for breakfast.
