George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville takes part in a nationwide night of benefit shows to aid those directly impacted by the Gulf Coast oil spill. “Coast to Coast” will feature local jam act Mountain of Venus, the roots country of Matt Stell & the Crashers, driving rural pop from Bent Grass Green, neo-soul collective Black Pearl, singer/songwriter Sarah Hughes and tunesmith Tiffany Christopher, 7 p.m.

With songs like “Let’s Go Smoke Some Pot” and “Beertown U.S.A.,” New Orleans frat-bar rock act, Dash Rip Rock (above), is sure to get the Sticky Fingerz bar rocking alongside great, goofy local trio Dangerous Idiots, 9:30 p.m., $5.

The Gettys headline Cajun’s Wharf, 9 p.m., while acoustic duo Brett & Adam man the deck for the end of the day, 5:30 p.m., $5 after 8:30 p.m.

White Water ushers in the proper summer with a soul music dance party, “Summer Soulstice,” with DJs Seth Baldy and COMI (Collin Miles), 9 p.m.
