In what has to be one of the strangest celebrity appearances that Little Rock’s seen in years, baseball legend Jose Canseco, 46, is set to square off with former sportscaster and UALR baseball coach Gary Hogan, 60, 7 p.m. tonight at Dickey-Stephens Park before the Travs face the Midland Rockhounds.

Canseco, who’s hopped in and out of the ring for years now, may find a worthy adversary in Hogan, who, in spite of being a sexagenarian, boxed professionally and still is a regular figure on his gym’s medicine ball.
