The Arkansas Arts Center has announced the names of artists whose works were selected for the 53rd annual Delta Exhibition, opening Dec. 17. Press release is on the jump.

Meredith Ward, president of Meredith Ward Fine Art in New York City, was juror for the exhibit, limited to artists in Arkansas and its contiguous states. She chose 54 works for the show, from 803 entries. Thirty-four Arkansans are in the exhibit.

Many familiar names among the Arkansans, besides Maumelle artist Jason McCann’s (his work is above) — Kristin Musgnug and LaDawna Whiteside from Fayetteville, Beverly Buys from Hot Springs, Emily Wood from Little Rock, Benjamin Krain and Dennis McCann from Maumelle, Jason Gammel from Hot Springs, Kathy Bay from Sherwood …
