Lightning may be to blame for the fire that destroyed Fort Smith’s Boom-A-Rang Diner in the early morning hours Monday. The popular outlet for the Oklahoma-based chain was all but incinerated by a fire that consumed all but the outside of the old Henderson Bros. cotton brokery. Owner Kristen Hughes says she plans to reopen the diner in a new location.

UPDATE: KFSM reports that a new Fort Smith Boom-A-Rang location may open in as little as two weeks. Some employees are working at an Oklahoma location, others at another Fort Smith restaurant.
