Update: One date has been confirmed for the Crispin Glover screening: Sunday, July 3 at 7 p.m. at the Malco Theater in Hot Springs. Organizers are still trying to find a venue in Little Rock for Saturday, but so far nothing has been confirmed. Rock Candy will keep you in the loop.

Arkansas cinephiles and lovers of all things dark and creepy and achingly human rejoice: Crispin Hellion Glover is coming to town to screen his latest absolutely goddamn weird film, called “It Is Fine! EVERYTHING IS FINE.” Actually, he’s coming to towns: Hot Springs and, if all goes well, Little Rock, courtesy of the Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute and the Arkansas Underground Film Festival.

“It Is Fine” is part two of the “What Is It?” trilogy, and if you’ve seen any of part one — also titled “What is It?” — then you will understand when I say, with absolute sincerity: Whoa Nelly! Was Alejandro Jodorowsky’s “El Topo” a bit too tame for your tastes? Did you find “Fellini – Satyricon” too linear and conventional? Then Glover’s intensely bizarre and personal vision will probably still freak you right the hell out.
