- MASSIVE: Turkey Leg Mole at KJ’s Caribe Restaurant y Cantina
Outside of the county fair, how many chances do you have to eat an entire turkey leg as part of a meal? KJ Zumwalt with Caribe in Eureka Springs has a smoked turkey leg that’s a thing of legend — as the centerpiece of her Mole dish. Savory doesn’t cover it. Neither does the mole sauce — at least, not completely, which is a good thing because to eat it you really have to pick it up or pick the meat off the bone. No matter, comes with a side of the fabulous too-many-ingredients-to-count mole sauce, along with seasoned rice and beans and a light mango-kiwi salad with creamy cilantro sauce. This is a dish to share… with someone you don’t mind using their fingers on your meat.
There are many other reasons to try out Caribe. Those reasons and a love story, over at Tie Dye Travels.
