Winfred Rembert, the leather artist who is the subject of the documentary “All Me: The Life and Times of Winfred Rembert,” is the featured artist at Taylor’s Contemporanea this month. Taylor’s will hold a reception from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, Hot Springs’ monthly Gallery Walk Walk.
Rembert creates patterned, and autobiographical, images of the segregated South — cotton pickers, chain-gang workers — in tooled leather. The film was shown in the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival last month. For better images of his work, go the all my eyes blog here.
