Stranger Steals demo image

The punk blog Remote Outposts has unearthed a demo tape from 2000 from one of my favorite Little Rock bands, The Stranger Steals, made up of names long time fans of local music should recognize: Alan Disaster (Smoke Up Johnny), Jeremy Brasher (Moving Front), Louisa Rook (Bloodless Cooties), Lloyd Benjamin and the late, great Victor Wiley.

The band’s sole album, “The Goals of Misbehavior,” came out a year later on Nate Powell’s sadly defunct Harlan Records.
