If the Monday blues have you feeling all “blah” and you’re looking for a good time that doesn’t involve anything too illegal, here’s something that fits the bill, and which will actually help out a good cause: at White Water Tavern, starting at 7 p.m. on this very evening, there will be a fundraiser to help out the local filmmakers who are behind “Rapture Us,” a forthcoming film about a young, highly devout Christian man who gets left behind when the rapture happens.

The film will star writer and director Levi Agee, whose name you’re no doubt familiar with if you follow local cinema (he writes about film for the Oxford American and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette) and Quinn Gasaway, whose credits include the role of Boy Hogwallop in “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”

There’s going to be live entertainment from magician Derrick Rose and excellent tunes from The Catskill Kids, Whale Fire, Color Club and Attached Retina.

It’s $10 at the door, with proceeds going toward production of the film. But if you’re so inclined, you can also donate more at the show or, before 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, online right here.

Watch a trailer for the film and read the entire press release after the jump.
