Big K.R.I.T. returns to Little Rock for a show at Juanitas Nov. 11.

  • Big K.R.I.T. returns to Little Rock for a show at Juanita’s Nov. 11.

This week the Times published our annual Fall Arts issue. As per tradition, we published a roundup of concerts that we think people will be anticipating.

Also as per tradition, several more awesome upcoming shows were announced shortly after the issue went to press. So here they are, the ones that just missed the deadline.

On Oct. 11, Juanita’s hosts arguably one of the most buzzed-about hip-hop artists in a while, Big K.R.I.T., who’s touring on his first studio album, “Live from the Underground.” K.R.I.T.’s doing a run of shows with Slim Thug, and is on his way to the huge-ass stages of the Austin City Limits Music Festival that weekend. Opening act is Little Rock hip-hop act Flint Eastwood.

Downtown Music Hall booked a Halloween show with shoegaze-y, amp-abusing duo Jucifer. The very next evening, you can catch the sci-fi retro metal maestros in The Sword, with the NWOBHM-steeped Gypsyhawk and thrash instrumentalists Eagle Claw.

On Nov. 4, Juanita’s has the anthemic, Springsteen-ian punk rock of Against Me!, with Fake Problems and Water Tower.

A little later in the month, on Nov. 17, Juanita’s has one of the longest running, biggest selling, most controversial and disgusting-album-art-having death metal bands of all time, that’s right — Cannibal Corpse, with support from Misery Index and Hour of Pennance.

Anything else coming up you guys are psyched about?
