OK, Halloween is over and now it’s time to get in the mood for the holidays. I’m succumbing to the new era in America, where Thanksgiving is now just a turkey leg in the road on the way to the frenzy that is Christmas. The William F. Laman Public Library System’s newest gallery exhibit, “Norman Rockwell’s Home for the Holidays,” opening today at the main branch, is helping me along. Maybe I’ll finish my shopping this weekend.

The exhibit, on loan from the Norman Rockwell Museum in Massachusetts, features original Saturday Evening Post cover tear sheets. It will be on display until Dec. 9.
