The Jumbo Gumbo Cookoff is an amateur gumbo competition, with beer and beverages available for purchase and live music from The Greasy Greens. All proceeds benefit The Allen School, River Market Pavilions, 5-9 p.m., $15 adv., $20 door.

Eggshibition 2013 will benefit Youth Home with celebrity-designed plaster eggs, hors d’oeuvres, drinks, music from Rodney Block & The Real Music Lovers and more, Jack Stephens Center, UALR, 7 p.m., $50-$75.
