Hot Springs’ post-Independence Day Gallery Walk, 5-9 p.m. July 5, may not have fireworks but there’ll be plenty to see anyway: At Artists Workshop Gallery (810 Central), there will be paintings by Jim Reimer and collages by Bonnie Ricci. Blue Moon Art Gallery (718 Central) continues an exhibit of paintings by UA Monticello professor Tom Richard and photographs by David Rackley. The “Fine Arts Center Members Exhibit” opens (626 Central Ave.) and paintings by Dan Thornhill and Matthew Hasty go on exhibit at Justus Fine Art (827 Central Ave.)

On July 7, the Museum of Contemporary Art at 425 Central Ave. opens “Arkansas Champion Trees: An Artist ‘s Journey,” colored pencil drawings by Linda Palmer. The show runs through Aug. 24. Admission is $5.
