The Waltons are always making the Forbes’ richest persons lists (for example, Christy Walton is No. 11 on Forbes’ “The World’s Billionaires” list, Jim Walton is 14, Alice is 16 and S. Robson is 17).

But Alice Walton has made the top 10 in ARTnews’ recently released list of top art collectors for 2013 (“Who Will Bid $50 Million?”)

Keeping her company are Helene and Bernard Arnault, Debra and Leon Black, Edyth and Eli Broad, Pierre Chen, Alexandra and Steven A. Cohen, Jo Carole and Ronald S. Lauder, Philip S. Niarchos, Francois Pinault and Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The list was assembled by interviews with top dealers and experts. One of them told writer Milton Esterow that “You know the difference between them and us? For us, it’s money. For them it’s a wire transfer.”

And for us, it’s a nice big museum of American art.
