MOSCOW BALLET’S ‘GREAT RUSSIAN NUTCRACKER’
3 p.m. Robinson Center Music Hall. $79.

It’s time once more for one of the most enduring works in the history of ballet: Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker.” According to a press release, the Moscow Ballet‘s current touring production promises to take the “150-year Nutcracker tradition to a new level incorporating props, costumes, and a new level of dramatic depth.”

Among the new bells and whistles: a “Magic Table” for Uncle Drosselmeyer; a 5-foot pile of “teetering presents” for the Christmas party scene; and two 6-foot “Matryoshka Dolls,” which reveal Drosselmeyer’s magic dolls for party guests. Sounds like a Nutcracker-y good time to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
