Word comes just now of a new exhibit at the Historic Arkansas Museum, “Dream and Imagery Entailed: Kerrick Hartman and LaToya Hobbs.”
Pictures speak louder than words: You can see by the images here what a great show this will be. Sculptor Hartman, from Stuttgart, works in stone, wood and metal. Printmaker and painter Hobbs is a North Little Rock native whose work addresses beauty and spirituality among women of color. It’s a nice pairing, thanks to sinuous, circular elements in both works.
The show opens tonight for 2nd Friday Art Night, which is also holding its “9th Ever Nog-off.” No nog in the gallery! See the art, drink the nog, vote on the nog, then go back and see the art again.
